To activate ASICS sponsorship of the 2014 New York City Marathon, we wanted to do something special for runners. So, we asked them to send us their headshots, and with the help of a small army of 3D artists and a 3D printer, we turned each photograph into a miniature statue. Then, we took each statue and photographed it using backgrounds from the racecourse and linked the photos with their RIFID race chip.  This way, the photos could be auto-posted onto each runner’s Facebook page and provide a real-time race update for friends and family.
